A Space Where Everyone Is Seen
At Phoenix Family Resources, we believe access should never be a barrier to receiving support.
Recently, we welcomed a family who communicates through American Sign Language (ASL) a powerful reminder that inclusion is not just something we talk about, it’s something we practice.
With the support of our community partners, including 211, this family was referred to Phoenix and was able to navigate our Resource Center in a way that felt comfortable, respectful, and empowering.
At Phoenix, support goes beyond providing essentials. It’s about creating a space where every individual regardless of how they communicate feels seen, valued, and understood.
Because at Phoenix, no one walks alone, we do this together.
She came in just looking for a little food support…
Took one of our microwavable GOLO rice bowls to try.
A few minutes later, she came right back in smiling—
“Do you have more of those?”
That’s the moment we love. Real feedback. Real impact.
In a food desert along the Route 9 corridor, something as simple as a warm, easy meal can make all the difference.
Thank you to the Food Bank of Delaware for working alongside us to bring these options directly to our community.
At Phoenix Family Resources, it’s not just about food—it’s about listening, learning, and making sure what we provide truly meets the need.
